I am like seriously lagging. Havent been blogging lately and alot of stuff happened, I mean, it's CNY! Of course alot of things has to happen if not it wouldn't be CNY anymore. Well, first things first, GONG HEI FAT CHOI!!! Must be special abit cause everyone is saying that in chinese or english so I shall say it in canto. Haha

CNY was.. well, quite a few people from in the family were missing. Daniel suay suay got high fever on the first day, Nora's in Canada; missing home and even though only two of them were MIA-ing it felt different. But nonetheless, new year is a time for reunion and MASSIVE family gatherings and I should probably say this cause it just hit me this year that I love my family. Nono I know everyone loves their family but does it include extended family? In all seriousness. I hear from alot of my friends that they are not very close to their cousins, aunties, uncles and when it comes to times like these, it just means that it is time once again for parents to start comparing kids, start to do I dunno what else and if they did have a choice and if it wasn't just for the plain reason that it was the new year and it was a time to start collecting money, they would rather be somewhere else than stoning in front of the tv or whatnot.

In my case, I'm probably really really fortunate that my whole family is not like that. It's a close tight circle and everyone is nice to everyone, not so much comparing (I won't say no comparing cause there's bound to be some sort of stuff like that always around) it doesn't matter whose house we're in, everyone helps out, and everyone can talk to everyone and laugh out loud without feeling that we're just making conversation or entertaining people. I love it! And it's really nice to feel that way. I mean, I've always known it all along that my family was a close one but it just really hit me this year that like: Wow! This is great and I love it! Like my bro was saying he has a friend whose aunties and uncles are like ours, very successful people, doctors, lawyers and because they are so successful, they become snobbish and stuff but that's different from our family cause even though our aunties and uncles are like so pro, they are still super nice and like when it comes to family, they can be equally crazy. How rare is it that you are served drinks by a lawyer? Haha. Maybe I'm just becoming sentimental or smthg but yeah. This new year was like great realization for me.

Oh and the kids seem to grow SUPER fast lah! I mean, one year ago you were just like this tofu thing, and now, one year later when I see you, you are walking!!! Does it matter that the kids always seem to multiply in numbers so fast you feel old? But they are just sooo adorable you can't help but croon at their little fingers, aawww at their confused faces as they are being passed from one adult to another or the little actions that they do like lean into you like a little koala and grab ur finger to suck that drives you crazy and makes you think that you wanna get married just to have a kid, or even better, kidnap that one cute kid? That's how we all feel. That's how I feel.

Well, this is just my mum's side, I can't say the same for my dad's side cause they are all in Malaysia and I haven't been back in like what? Almost 10 years? So anyway, apart from the great family realization, new year was pretty much the same except that this year, I have to include two more jabronies. My two new step-cousins, whom none of the cousins like. Arrogant, egoistical, non-stop bragging, Oh-I-am-so-great-hear-me-talk cousins. Ah whatever. So from now on, I'm gonna start to like all these family gatherings and try to be more sociable. Haha.

Okie enough of family talk. Back to work, back to portfolio that seems to talk over my life, back to stressing over what to do. When is it ever gonna be over? *sob =[
