It's finally my brother's turn to do his part and serve the nation, and so I took leave to send him off on his final journey as a civilian before becoming one of, and I quote MINDEF: 'Singapore's Sons'. TODAY IS HIS ENLISTMENT DAY!!!
Backdrops and what not to psycho people into signing on.. retardsFrankly, I was seriously quite excited cause I can finally put an image to what that famous Tekong Resort looks like. And you know what, from far it does look a bit like a harmless spit of island where slackers go to to, well slack. I felt like some stupid tourist with a spastic second finger which doesn't stop pressing the shutter button lah. Ahem. Anyway, photos!!

You tell me? Nice not? But then as the ferry goes nearer, you see that big ass national flag flying on top and you snap out of your nice day-dreaming to remember that your mode of transport is so cheesy-ly called 'Penguin Tekong'

Talk about originality..The minute we get off the ferry, enlistees and family members were separated and we were given a tour of Tekong. Well, not the whole of Tekong la, but rather a tour of BMTC and stuff, and all this time, my mum was like: 'Wow, Tekong is so nice now, last time where got like that one?' Say until like she went through NS at Tekong last time... Dots.
He's in Leopard Company, which according to him is
heng cause one more and he'll be in Mohawk, which is not good cause apparently Mohawk and Ninja are the two most
xiong companies or whatever lah..

Every company has like a board where all the high ranking officers and what not are shown lah.. Easier to recognize also lah.

I took a picture of his platoon officer cause I thought he looked like that actor Lim Yu Beng. Well, if he treats them like shit, at least I still can blacklist him or voodoo him or something.. Haha
Oh then after the tour we were brought to the auditorium to witness the oath taking ceremony and when we went in, the boys were already seated right in the middle, so naturally, on seeing their sons once again, mums and dads will then proceed to exclaim rather loudly: 'There! He's over there! Sitting:
option 1: Next to the boy in the red shirt.
option 2: Fourth row fifth boy from the right.
option 3: Call out the poor embarrassed boy's name all the while waving frantically.
but on seeing no reaction from their sons (who at this time are all sitting in an extremely stiff position looking solemn) exclaim: 'Hiyah, he never/cannot see us!'
And you know what the best part is? One of the the army guys actually told a parent who was reenacting the above mentioned, and once again, I quote: 'Please refrain from calling out to your son cause they were briefed previously to not respond to their parents and to act solemn.'
HAHAHAHAHA
ACT SOLEMN!?!?! HAHAHA Classic.

After that came lunch. Finally.

I dunno if the food's always like that but it seriously didn't taste all that bad. After lunch was time to say goodbye. No more nice long showers, nice comfy bed to sleep and waking up at insane hours of 0530. Well, 2 weeks and I'll be seeing you man..
